This is an old but tried-and-tested cure for sticky mucus in children and adults, considered to be the main reason for initial bronchitis…

This is good medicine to help prevent thick sticky mucus.

This recipe was given to me by a woman 12 years ago, now a dear friend of mine who works in a pharmacy.

And she was sorry for my daughter, who was then very young and could hardly breathe, struggled with coughing, and no syrup that was prescribed helped her.

Ingredients (for adults):

  • 500 g of meadow honey
  • 1 lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons of flaxseed
  • 1 tablespoon white mustard seed

Ingredients (for children over 3 years):

  • 500 g of acacia or some other bright honey
  • 1 lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons of flaxseed
  • 1 teaspoon of white mustard seed

Method of preparation:

Grind the flaxseed and the white mustard seed into powder. Drain the juice of one larger lemon (or two smaller), then add it to a jar of honey.

Stir well to dilute the honey slightly. In the thinned honey add the minced spices and mix well so that the honey absorbs the ingredients.

Usage:

3×1 teaspoons per day for children and 3×1 tablespoons for adults. Because of the lemon juice, the mixture must be kept in the refrigerator. I always take this natural remedy as soon as my throat starts to scratch.
